more pop culture and sports ;)
friday - a bridal shower i almost didn't go toi met lora through beia. the three of us spent most of our time together watching games, attending events and having really long dinners. when bei moved to the US, lor and i would meet up for lunch in greenbelt whenever we have the time. lora has many other friends. i met most of them at least once and i've heard of them from her many stories but really ours is a friendship that revolves mostly around only the three of us so i thought that the long lunch we had in cafe bola where she handed me her really cool wedding invitation was enough. that it's no longer a must for me to attend her bridal shower because i don't really know anyone there but i'm glad i did because of one reason - JOHN LLOYD CRUZ. haha. sure, it was nice to bond with the other girls in lora's lives but JLC stole the show! imagine naman ang message para kay lora pero feeling naming lahat kami sa lora, hay. ibang level talaga! ;)
saturday - home sweet home
i spent most of the day at home resting and watching the season finales of grey's anatomy and ugly betty. both turned out to speak to me again. damn those series, haha. breaking my stay at home mode was dinner with snicket at gloria maris. again, these are precious moments i am trying to enjoy while i still can. it should be so much easier if i have happy memories to hang on to anyway it's not like i'm never going to see her again but still i need the cheese now. i also grabbed some ruffles and ice cream which came in handy once i was back to being a couch potato after the hearty meal. ferrari 1-2 in monaco qualifiying, eating junk is sometimes worth it!
sunday - from north to south
started my day with a repeat of last night - ruffles, fic chocolate ice cream and f1 qualifying in replay. after afternoon mass i rushed to buy the gift for toptop, my good friend abi and pj's baby. the baptism reception at kamayan in west avenue was an eventful one because apart from checking in on my belfield buddies' lives, my big college crush who was once a passing topic in one of my past entries was also present. i'm happy to report that freezing in front of him is now a thing of the past. after that, grunch and i proceeded to his hap chan all the way to lp (finally and as if i didn't eat chinese the night before!) where the rest of who could make it to the ebench sunday club were waiting. while on the road, i got updates of the monaco grand prix from kuya tonio. the last bit about kimi getting a penalty sor tof dampened my good mood.
monday - wrapping up the weekend
we ended the impromptu taboo game at around 2 in the morning. now i'm trying to shake off the fact that hamilton won the f1 monaco grand prix and that kimi scored zero points by eating junk and writing this blog while watching IRL (hoping that danica patrick will wipe off the sadness of the earlier news). we'll see about that, there are still 70 more laps to go so for now here's to hoping we'll all have a great week ahead of us! =)
