what a weekend it was
it was pretty packed but it went by fine. what great way to spend a stormy friday night than by meeting up with richelle at starbucks to meet gideon, her new fab nikon camera. after a little chit chat we moved to nearby chowking for real dinner fix while i wait for parej to pick me up. for a while there i thought we could squeeze in tea with cile before heading to bea's party but cile had to rush off to work. bea's party was a blast, the mediterranean dishes partnered with romanian wine and asti were superb. i just realized bea would be enjoying a lot of that since she's heading to europe really soon. the ateneo euro girls are indeed invading europe, cheers to the birthday girl!saturday morning was spent with my soon to be bride/roomie snicket. it's probably one of the few times i actually accompanied her to take care of wedding stuff but i didn't know a thing about telas hence i basically just looked around carolina's and marveled at the sight of so many kind of telas! not much help there. afterwards we checked out the newly renovated cash and carry to buy stuff that we couldn't find in rustan's. before heading home we dropped by amber for some super worth it take out.
saturday afternoon was spent with my best friend from davao who just came from vietnam. since she was also flying back to davao same day so we made the best out of the few hours together. we shopped at moana even if i shamelessly plugged ipanema, haha. and i got her an early christmas gift! it's useful, fun and really cool. check out the golla stand at fully booked and look for their cute ipod holders, that's the one! i got us matching green ones.
before snicket headed to her saturday drinking session we went to mass and then watched harold and kumar. strange movie although it was an outright no brainer. i loved the first one better. i'm really going to miss her so even if it was a stupid movie, it's still a memory. awwww.
sunday was reserved for the baptism of jesca catalina manikan santos, deck's beautiful baby girl. i had so much fun with my fellow ninangs zar and leng. jax also followed at edsa shang where i had a great time eating the buffet and playing with zar and jam's babies pipo and anton. these things make me really miss my family so i can't wait to go home.
then i had to rush to D's birthday in alabang. it was a special sunday club edition and although a lot of people weren't able to go because of driver problems, it was still uber fun. good food, lots of drinks ;) and a bit of swimming plus super duper lots of hirits made it truly memorable too. we love you D, always =)
