post birthday
it was the right decision to spend my birthday in davao after seven years of celebrating it away from my family. this is not to say though that i didn't have seven years of happy birthdays. my roommates snicket, moms and lainey would always have something cooked up for me during my dorm birthdays. there was also grasche who happens to have the same birthday as me (and jlo as in jennifer lopez, hehe!) so how can she ever forget the birthday of her soul sister. my manila friends never fail to shower me with greetings and gifts but more importantly with the assurance of their love and support so a long distance phone call from my family would be enough to complete my birthday. however being with my brother, mother and father during my birthday brought in me a different kind of joy even if it just meant staying home the whole day watching the miss universe pageant (congratulations ate li an for winning miss photogenic!) and the SONA with my mother while waiting for my father and brother to come home for dinner plus there were my nieces and nephew who light up my life and my cousins who've been there forever =) i love you all and i'm missing you already! jonneroo and D surely made me feel less lonely courtesy of hap chan late dinner so thanks to you dears! =)i think if there is one thing i'll never ran out of, it's saying thanks so thanks again to everyone who made me feel their love during my birthday and even during the days after:
chaw for the first text...D for the first call...ekay and den for the conference call from singapore...cecilia for probably the longest call that day...ate dindin for the first gift and letter...B for the fab racing ecard (i love it soooo much just like the person who sent it!)...che for the longest ecard...snicket for the gorgeous blouse...my childhood friends april and kim for dropping by (better late than never you guys so thanks again!)...surprise greetings from long lost friends, friends who get in touch only on special occasions and acquaintances... and to the countless texts (including the unknown numbers that i will have to research on!), emails, friendster messages, ym messages and letters from everyone else=) you really made my birthday very, very happy! =)
