i take after kimi

friday was a long work day for me so i went into the night prepared. a delish filipino food themed lunch with wins and tep at abe in serendra ensured me that i will get to enjoy the wine and champagne buffet later that evening. i've always said that my friends always make it easier for me to go through the details of my work that i don't like with a smile. janus, gem, neil, didy, rich, ther and adri made it so even though i was very tired i was still up and about until 3am.

the next day i was up early for the qualifying of the australian grand prix. this marks the official start of the f1 season and i didn't feel the lack of sleep kicking in as i watch and once again hear the roaring of the engines that i have come to love. soon it was time to prepare for sandro and sheng's wedding. it didn't take me long to prepare and slip on my last minute choice of gown. i didn't realize this event would be an extension of the night before, the asti martini bottle was simply irresistible. one bottle for each guest at least that's how it went for our AA table, haha!

now the australian grand prix just wrapped up. kimi was nowhere in sight during the podium announcement and yet i am delighted to see young faces at the podium especially that of nico rosberg. after all more than being a kimi raikkonen fan, i am passionate about f1 as a sport. kimi struggled without traction control and that's why i say i take after him. i love go-kart racing but i always have issues about braking late or not braking at all. i am a bad driver of real cars in the same sense. i hope he gets it in time for malaysia. as i always say, probably the best thing i have learned about this hobby is control because as much as life is about speeding on and going after your dreams, it is also about knowing when to take it slow.
