As I sit in my sofa eating left over food from my birthday dinner earlier while watching Sex and The City The Movie for the nth time on HBO, I realized how lucky I am to have such wonderful friends.
You see I've always been one to celebrate my birthday with family and close friends. Though not necessarily perfect every time (once or twice it ended in tears because i I didn't get my way with family), the thought of celebrating my day with the very people who make me who I am truly makes me happy. This year though I managed to expand to hosting a dinner for thirty important people which includes friends from work and my boss with wife in tow because they are undeniably special to me too. Also, my friends need to meet new people since most of the time we hang out only with each other ;)
It was a perfect culmination of my week long celebration that started off with the trip to Malaysia followed by a series of night outs which revealed some lovely surprises.
So I leaf through another page of my 28th year with a hope that I'll come around to focusing on things that really matter, keeping my big dreams alive and finding love that will add on to what I'm already surrounded with.
