i was debating whether to stay home or to join fashion friend and adri when i got a text from my dear chelle. we ended up spending the night eating halo halo at chowking and watching sports while drinking beer at my place. you might say that is such a guy thing to do but i guess that's one reason why we both get along so well, we both love sports that's why it's a great bodning experience for us too. oh and is it also a guy thing to exchange texts with someone who has the same family name as one of your best friends? (inside joke! hehe)

the sunday club special edition: kara's send off was a good one. i was so happy to see dych with sister in tow! (it's been quite a while) the food at classic cuisine was also delish with special mention of the pandan rice, the quite oily pancit molo and of course the all time favorite (snicket being one of its loyal fans) leche flan. after dinner we were off to my place for some drinks and junk food fest and again some sports on tv - the disappointing F1 european leg and the very long beijing olympics closing ceremonies.
it's been nice to have been with the company of friends at times when you know you need to be around people. work's fine but i have to be more focused and sometimes the only way to do that is to take a break, step back and re-charge. my lola (youngest sister of my lola) passed away and i'm not about to rush home because it won't really change anything. she'll be more proud of me if i can keep myself together even during times like these. my lolo's farm is affected by the milf conflict so it's hard to be detached when i watch new these days. i'm not sad. there is really just so much going on that sometimes i just want to not think about these things. so i'm fine, really, with some drinks and as long as i keep the faith. rock on!
