this beats dilbert

i've sort of planned out my pages a while ago and it cost me another overpriced cup of tea at starbucks and two hours of my day. the actual writing is still yet to happen. instead i choose to write this entry. i'm getting there to being steady again actually i think i'm pretty much back to how my life have been before the craziness. in fact with the help of my friends, life has never been better. the past few days have been spent buying gifts for people and what better way to end it than by celebrating the season with my college bench barkada. our annual christmas get together was a riot in a fun way. everyone was a rockstar. as i said to BF, every single one of us changed but for the better. we've had bigger grown-up problems this year but we survived because no matter what happens we will always have each other.

here's a comic strip by D to immortalize that evening.
i love it!

definitely, there's no skipping christmas this year ;)

a while back in my life i actually thought of skipping christmas and yes this idea was inspired by john grisham's book. before i went full blast with my boycott i realized there is no way i can get around to achieving my goal. this year i welcomed christmas with open arms but with a lot of innovations along the way like it's better if you just tell me what you want for a gift because i'm not santa so i'll never get a letter from you stating what you like. with me as long as you are my friend you will merit a gift, it won't matter if you've been naughty or nice;)or that i've started saying no to parties and have been suggesting small dinners with close friends instead =)

december 1 was a banging season starter. there were many reasons to celebrate that day. initial stop was elaine and oging's wedding at san agustin church. as i said to my friends i'm a big fan of anything historical but those cobbled streets are too much of a hassle when you are in heels! next stop was buffet dinner at diamond hotel where grunchy, who is on a diet daw, ate two slices of steak or was it three? haha! last stop was at bonifacio high street for the birthday blowout of ther and rich where i had room for only one beer after that super heavy dinner.

the next day, we trooped to alabang to invade the cuenca bazaar. i'm not really a bazaar person in fact i was more happy bumping into friends i haven't seen in ages than going around and checking out the stalls. haha! it was tiring so we had crepes at cafe breton in westgate afterwards. food is always the answer to make one feel better, this is so me! we went back to civilization (hehe) for mass at don bosco and ther's birthday dinner at via mare, save the best (food) for last.

so you see, it's really beginning to feel a lot like christmas =)

room 108

that's my home address in college. the four walls of that room was witness to a lot of drama and a lot of growing up. last night i had a get together with the three other people i shared this room with. my roomie until now janice (snicket to me!) is with a big news, she's getting married next year. marian (our resident mommy) had eira, her long time boyfriend in tow. the new and all grown up elaine was also present. these are people who will always have a special place in my heart. four years is no joke so it's always a pleasure to spend time with these people and catch up to hear more of the good things life have been throwing at us these days ;)
