and then they were three ;)
it was college when i met erika, tanya and den. den and ekay are best friends. tan and ekay are the closest in their block. i don't know how exactly we came to be a group and how i fit in the picture. i just know that we had a common love for uaap basketball. maybe that's it but maybe it's more than that. although we were uaap champions during our senior year ;)
the days after university i always tell people that apart from my wonderful bench barkada i have this lovely little group too. i remembered how i cried in cpk shang when den told us she's leaving for australia and then again outside erika's house when i hugged her one last time before she left for singapore. so when tanya texted me this morning inviting me for lunch and saying "dami kong kuwento" i froze for a while. she could very well have been promoted and assigned abroad after all she is a great catch for any company. if that was the case then i have to save more money so i can visit her. haha!
well, it wasn't the news. i rushed to recipes in greenbelt. then the ring said it all. finally she's engaged! albert and tanya have been together forever. they were already a couple even before we became friends. i am so happy for her and i am so excited to tell erika and den. so excited was i that while i am writing this blog i am chatting with erika. erika already sent an sms to den. next year will be a big year, way bigger than our uaap champion year because now i can say for sure that we go beyond basketball. this little group is bonded together by the stuff in life that really matter - friendship and love.

this movie had me at "she loved me at my worst. you had me at my best. and you chose to break my heart" courtesy of lora but these lines (among all the other winner lines) are i think what made me REALLY love this movie "kung nakaya ko. kaya mo rin. naalala mo nung ako'ng nandiyan? o, e di ba't ikaw pa nagsabi sa akin na baka kaya tayo iniiwan ng mga taong mahal natin, kasi baka merong darating na mas okay. na mas mahahalin tayo, yung taong di tayo sasaktan at paaasahin. yung nag-iisang tao na magtatama ng mali sa buhay natin. nang lahat ng mali sa buhay mo."

love actually
i have come to realize that the people who really love me are those who continue to be there even if i have already stopped giving them reasons to do so. in line with this i am announcing that i am not giving away presents this christmas, if you stick around then you must really love me. kidding aside, i am doing away with resolutions this year instead i will work on being that person deserving of the love that people give to me.(12:34 AM) ♥ tal

welcome back D!
i got her gap so pink pasalubong way before i even saw her in person again. we were supposed to watch one more chance together but i thought she would be lazy to go all the way to makati to watch it with me so i went ahead and watched the first showing with teppy at power plant. surprise, surprise! at the escalator and still teary eyed from the movie, i saw D! how could i have underestimated our love for anything jologs, haha. anyway after her mock anger at me all the way down to the escalator, we decided we'll just catch another movie soon anyway she's off to watch the john lloyd-bea movie too.today we didn't watch any movie but we had i think one of our best spontaneous bonding moments as best friends. i guess it's about time since our conversations were limited to texts and calls weeks before she left because of bar exams. anyway our unplanned activity was all about going around makati in her new car. over and above showing her how to get around the business distrtict, it was also an afternoon of endless chattering about our lives that didn't stop even when we were already back at starbucks rockwell. we only wrapped it up when we realized we have to be home in time for the buzz. see jologs talaga.
after spending an afternoon going to the same gasoline situation twice, discussing why diets are such bummers, complaining about government offices and knowing the most interesting bits and pieces of her NY vacation i just know my life will never be the same again now that she's back. i missed you D;)

sweet nibblets
i begged off to a lot of invitations since i got back from davao to take a breather in fact i spent friday evening and the whole of saturday at home. it's been great going home early, eating home cooked food, enjoying some cathy guisewite courtesy of marls and doing some bits of things in my to do list. what's even great is a lot of happy times and good news coming my way (enough to wash away the bad stuff) =)late friday evening i got a call from my pseudo sister ther, the late breaking announcement - she's DL in Ateneo Law!!! i've half jokingly texted her a number of times that i support her pursuit for academic excellence hence the long chats and drinking sessions ;)
saturday i got an overseas call from BF, he wanted to tell me that we're in the same industry now so that's another thing we can bond about but the big difference is he's in NY. hehe. i checked out the website of his company and their events scream party to the core, so perfect for him.
sunday was spent with my godchild cole who i haven't seen in ages! i'm so glad he loves books (just like me and her mom) because i had fun picking out items at fully booked. we swam for over an hour at edsa shang before heading to tiendisitas for a fun evening.
monday morning i open my multiply and find out that my dear friend darla who is based in switzerland just got engaged and later that day decky told me she'll be having a baby girl.
